In June 2023, the Steering Committee, including the University's senior management, and the Working Group of research delegates and professional supporters were established under the coordination of the HR Directorate of the PTE Chancellery. The project started with a self-reflection, during which 8 focus group interviews and a questionnaire survey were conducted to assess the baseline situation regarding the principles of the Charter and Code. In these focus group interviews and through the questionnaire, the views of the lecturer and researcher colleagues from 10 faculties and research units of PTE at the R1-R4 level were sought. The Working Group discussed, validated, and summarized the findings in the gap analysis. In autumn 2023, the Steering Committee approved the Endorsement Letter and the gap analysis. Subsequently, PTE submitted its formal declaration of commitment to the European Commission, and the accreditation process started.
